From Our Pastor

Welcome to our church family's home on the web. Maybe you have come looking for us specifically, or have found us from a more general search for information about churches on the Monterey Bay. Whether you know what you are looking for, or are just beginning your search, we hope our site is useful.

The main reason we have created this site is to introduce Covenant Presbyterian to people like you, or to anyone who is looking for a place to worship God. Of course, we hope that a virtual introduction will encourage you to meet us in person.

Covenant Presbyterian Church, or CPC as we call ourselves, is a church that loves the gospel of God's free grace in Christ Jesus, which shapes our church ministry as we focus on teaching the Bible clearly. Our church life reflects this teaching, as we work to live out real love, compassion, and forgiveness. If you are looking for a church body that loves to worship God in spirit and truth, where Bible preaching is central, and is serious about growing and understanding grace, then you have found one.

As you see, we are a congregation of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church (OPC). That name may sound unfamiliar to you, and you may wonder what it means. Here's the short version: we are a reformed church eagerly following in the heritage of the historic protestant reformation, defending the truth of the Gospel in this age when truth itself is considered relative.
