We are a diverse group of people coming from many different backgrounds, and from communities all around the Monterey Bay area. Why would people drive from their own community to Castroville to be part of a church? Part of the reason is that CPC is one of the only reformed churches in the entire region.
We aim at living church life as a family, a body functioning in the love we have been shown by God in Christ. Our interaction together as families, as friends, and our fellowship reaches beyond Sunday worship, to bible studies, men's groups, ladies' groups and social events; building personal relationships as we encourage one another.
Our worship is intentionally simple, filled with the things that are clearly part of worship in the New Testament: reading God's Word, preaching, praying, singing hymns and psalms, giving, baptism and the Lord's Supper. In worship we want to do everything God has commanded us to do, and nothing else. You are welcome to study this guideline that we call "the regulative principle of worship," but better yet, do consider visiting us and experiencing it for yourself.
If you have any additional questions regarding who we are, or would like to speak with someone from our church, email us with your contact information and we will give you a call.
