Our Deacons

Raised in a Catholic home, Richard was drawn to the Gospel from his tender years. In his twenties he was led to attend an OPC in San Jose, California. While there, he developed an interest in the writings of the puritans and in Presbyterianism leading him to embrace the reformed faith.  His devotion to Covenant Presbyterian Church in Castroville has been in evidence for the last eighteen years and Rich responded in faith and service to an inward call to the deaconate.   In addition to his chosen field of telecommunications, Rich enjoys fly fishing and hunting in his spare time.  He resides in Spreckles.

Patrick has been a member of the OPC since 1992 and was ordained as a deacon in 1994 while a member of Covenant OPC in San Jose, California.  He and his wife Mary with daughter Marina reside in Gilroy.  Patrick works as a Mechanical Designer in Silicon Valley. He enjoys spending time with his family, as well as reading, writing and running.  Raised a Roman Catholic, Patrick came to faith in 1991 in the midst of a serious illness.  The scripture verse that holds comfort and hope for him is Romans 8:28: "And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose".
